Beyonce’s handwritten letter to First Lady Michelle Obama made headlines this week. The superstar praised Mrs. Obama for being a great example for young women everywhere–including Knowles’ infant daughter, Blue Ivy. The First Lady was apparently flattered by Beyonce’s praises, because she tweeted a response to the warm sentiments.
“Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to,” Michelle Obama posted on Twitter, responding to Beyonce.
Beyonce praised Michelle Obama’s humility, poise and commitment to both her family and to issues that are important to her such as education and health and wellness.
